Scholarships offered for CNPEM/CNPQ Institutional Capacity Building Program (PCI)

The Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) has released public notice PCI/CNPEM 01/2024 for its Institutional Capacity Building Program (Programa de Capacitação Institucional, PCI), which selects researchers who will contribute to projects which fall within its scope.

This public notice for selection considers long-term grants of up to 10 months.

The following research projects will receive support within the scope of the Institutional Capacity Building Program (details in Attachment I):

Project 1. Studying mutations in the MAOA gene linked to aggression in patients with intellectual disabilities.
Project 2. Revealing the structural hierarchy of porous membranes: reconstructing volume and analysis via X-ray nanotomography.
Project 3. Combining X-ray absorption spectroscopy with uniaxial pressure, low temperatures, and high magnetic fields to study charge order in unconventional superconductors.
Project 4. Electronic devices based on 2D materials for sensors and biosensors.
Project 5. Life cycle analysis for new renewable products.
