The National Institute of Science and Technology in Quantum Devices (INCT-DQ) is opening a call for the selection of one (1) scholarship holder to work in the Institute’s science communication activities, with a focus on scientific and technological outreach for the academic community, students, and productive sectors.
The call is open to candidates who meet the requirements for CNPq scholarship modalities ADC 1A and ADC 1B, with the final modality to be defined by the Selection Committee according to how well the candidate’s profile aligns with the needs of the project.
The scholarship holder will work in coordination with the INCT-DQ’s Associate Coordination for Knowledge Dissemination, as well as with CNPEM Communication Office and the Management team of LNNano/CNPEM. The scholarship will be implemented in accordance with CNPq Ordinance No. 2,262/2025, which establishes general and specific rules for scholarships under the Technological Development and Innovative Extension Program.

Planned activities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Monitoring the activities and results of INCT-DQ, identifying priorities and opportunities for knowledge dissemination;

Planning and implementing communication strategies to publicize the research lines, laboratories, equipment, techniques, and results of INCT-DQ;

Writing scientific and technological outreach texts (news articles, press releases, website material, reports, institutional content, and social media posts);
-
Supporting the organization and promotion of events, courses, workshops, and training activities conducted by INCT-DQ;
-
Contributing to the production of graphic and digital materials (presentations, brochures, newsletters, posts, short videos, among others), in collaboration with the INCT-DQ communication teams.
Mandatory requirements
ADC 1A Scholarship
- Higher-education professional in any field with:
a) a doctoral degree and experience in Science Communication; or
b) at least 6 years of professional experience in Science Communication (as defined by CNPq Ordinance No. 2,262/2025).
ADC 1B Scholarship
- Higher-education professional in any field with:
a) a master’s degree and experience in Science Communication; or
b) at least 3 years of professional experience in Science Communication (as defined by CNPq Ordinance No. 2,262/2025).
Desired qualifications

Knowledge of graphic design, image editing, and/or video editing tools;

Strong writing skills in Portuguese, with the ability to adapt technical content for different audiences (scientific community, students, the general public, companies);

Organization, proactivity, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams spread across different institutions;

Knowledge of digital content editing and publishing tools (e.g., website management systems, newsletter platforms, social media);
-
Proficiency in English for reading and writing.
Scholarship details

The scholarship will be granted under the CNPq ADC 1A or ADC 1B modalities, with the final category defined by the Selection Committee.

40-hour weekly dedication, in-person, based in Campinas or surrounding areas.

Duration: 12 months, renewable for an additional 12 months.

Availability for occasional short trips to cover INCT-DQ events is desirable.

Monthly stipend according to the current CNPq scholarship table:

ADC 1A: BRL 5,200.00
