The Course for Benchtop Bioreactor Operation (Curso para Operação de Biorreatores de Bancada) presents theoretical concepts involving the type and classification of bioreactors, particularly in Stirred Tank Reactors (STR). In its practical dimension, it covers calibration, configuration, assembly, monitoring, and operation of bioreactors. In an attempt to promote the efficient learning of the course, the classes are reduced and the training is given to groups of up to 10 participants, with a workload of 32 hours, distributed between practical and theoretical sessions. The course is promoted by the Brazilian Biorenewables National Laboratory (LNBR), which is part of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), a social organization qualified by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).
