The Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) opens selection process for two FAPESP Technical Training Level IV-A (TT-IV-A) scholarships, linked to the project Molecular Engineering for Advanced Materials Research Center — CEMol (CEPID/CNPEM/FAPESP) .
Scholarship for work in Scientific Dissemination
The TT-IV scholarship, with an application deadline of October 5th, is dedicated to the development, implementation and monitoring of CEMol’s communication strategy, which will be aimed at the scientific community, companies and productive sectors.
The scholarship holder will work directly with the CEMol Dissemination Coordinator and the CNPEM Communications Advisory.
Planned activities for the Scientific Dissemination opportunity
The selected candidate for the scientific dissemination scholarship will be responsible for:
- Monitor the Project’s activities and results to define disclosure priorities;
- Develop communication plans to disseminate information on laboratories, equipment and techniques available within the context of CEMol;
- Write accessible science articles and other content about the center’s advances;
- Support the development of relationship strategies with companies, in collaboration with the innovation area;
- Contribute to the creation of graphic and digital materials (folders, presentations, newsletters, social media posts).
Required education for the Scientific Dissemination opportunity
- Completed undergraduate degree;
- Postgraduate degree, master’s degree or PhD in Communication or related fields will be considered an asset.
Requirements for the Scientific Dissemination opportunity
- Have at least four years of research experience or professional experience after graduation, in the area of scientific dissemination;
- Skills in writing and adapting technical content for different audiences;
- Knowledge of graphic design tools, video editing and social media management will be considered an asset;
- Proficiency in English (reading and writing).
Scholarship for work in Innovation
For this opportunity, for which the application must be submitted by October 15, 2025, the scholarship holder will carry out activities with the aim of bringing scientific research closer to technological applications in the productive sector, through the structuring of innovation strategies, intellectual property management and prospecting for partnerships with companies and startups.
The work will be carried out in collaboration with CNPEM’s Innovation Coordinator and the Innovation Support Assistance department (AIN).
Planned activities for the Innovation opportunity
The scholarship holder will support the implementation of the CEMol Innovation Front, developing activities related to:
- Mapping of companies and startups with potential for collaboration with CEMol;
- Connection with companies, startups and partner institutions in negotiating agreements and supporting participation in the Consortium for the Development of New Technologies;
- Articulation of the relationship between CEMol researchers and CNPEM’s intellectual property management area, including preparation and monitoring of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Material Transfer Agreements (MTA) and Cooperation;
- Support for the formulation of competitive intelligence studies on market trends, emerging technologies and potential partners;
- Support for the preparation of strategic reports and dialogue with funding agencies.
Required education for the Innovation opportunity
- Completed undergraduate degree in Administration, Economics, Engineering or areas related to Science and Technology;
- Postgraduate, Master’s or PhD degree will be considered a plus.
Requirements for the Innovation opportunity
- Have at least four years of experience in the area of innovation, intellectual property and dialogue with companies;
- Capacity of critical analysis, organization and good written and oral communication;
- Familiarity with scientific databases, patent analysis, business prospecting, and project management tools is desirable;
- Oral and written proficiency in English.
Scholarships Common features
- FAPESP TT-IV-A scholarship, with an initial duration of 12 months;
- Exclusive dedication: 40 hours per week;
- Monthly stipend: R$ 7,440.00 (according to the current FAPESP rates).
