New format addresses groups of researchers working in research areas that correlate between the groups and require continuous analysis using Transmission Electron Microscopy and Cryomicroscopy facilities
The Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano) of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials invites groups of researchers to participate in a new call for proposals for the use of its electron microscopy infrastructure. The period for submitting proposals lasts from September 5 to September 22.
The Block Allocation Group (BAG) is a new format that addresses groups of researchers working in areas of research that are correlated between the groups and require continuous analysis using the Transmission Electron Microscopy and Cryomicroscopy facilities for the development of high-impact research projects.
For this first call, only groups of Brazilian researchers will be eligible to submit BAG proposals. BAG proposals will last for 2 years, starting in January 2024, with shifts being allocated according to the needs of the research group. The evaluation of the proposals follows five criteria:
- The synergy between the members of the BAG proposal;
- Scientific motivation and originality;
- Justification for using the infrastructure;
- Expected results and experimental techniques;
- Technical experience and relevance of the group.
These points will be assessed by the Soft Materials, Structural Biology and Advanced/Inorganic Materials evaluation committees. The composition of the committees is described in this link.
