ACO, in March 2nd
The proposal application period for the Macromolecular Crystallography (MX) beamlines at LNLS has been extended until March 9st, 2012. Approved applications will be scheduled for the period between May 21st and August 29th, 2012, and can be prepared and submitted at the LNLS User Portal.
In order to increase the quality of scientific work produced at LNLS beamlines and following the recommendation of the international scientific committee, the MX beamlines committee have been more rigorous in judging the submitted proposals.
Therefore, applicants can provide additional relevant information about their research proposals in the form of a pdf file of up to two pages for a better scientific basis and to facilitate the peer review process.
Furthermore, it is essential that the list of publications produced in previous proposals (published on Bibliographical Production) must be updated in the library to support the evaluation of the future proposals.
It is strongly recommended that the proposals be written in English in order to South American scientific community also contribute in the peer review process.
