Symposium on Protein Design and Engineering: From Artificial Intelligence to High-Throughput Experimentation.
11 julho @ 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Free
On July 11, the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) will host the Symposium on Protein Design and Engineering: From Artificial Intelligence to High-Throughput Experimentation. Offered online and free of charge to the general public, the event will feature leading researchers from Brazil and abroad, including speakers from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation – Fiocruz, The University of São Paulo – USP, the University of Maryland, the Broad Institute, and CNPEM itself, who will present cutting-edge advances aimed at strengthening protein design and engineering as a strategic field in the country.
The symposium will showcase research and breakthroughs along the entire spectrum, from developing new therapeutics for human health to applications in industrial bioprocesses. Presentations will cover computational methods, emphasizing AI-driven models and their integration into protein-design pipelines (including antibodies, vaccines, and peptides), as well as experimental techniques for engineering new proteins (including enzymes) and validating proteins generated in silico.
