SUMMARY:I IBSB School: Industrial Biotechnology & Synthetic Biology
DESCRIPTION:The first edition of the first IBSB School will bring together researchers and postgraduate students from Brazil and international speakers to discuss advanced science topics for building biotechnological platforms aimed at more efficient bioproduction of fine chemicals and biofuels. The program will cover common topics to LNBR’s research\, such as High Throughput Cellular Monitoring Systems\, Omics Sciences\, Microorganism Metabolic Engineering\, Molecular Dynamics\, and Cell-free Systems\, with active attendee participation. \nClasses will take place around a large round table\, providing participants with the opportunity to engage with LNBR researchers in a casual atmosphere. Additionally\, participants will have the chance to present their ongoing work\, fostering ideas and discussions that can enhance the impact of their research.

SUMMARY:Integrative Structural Biology meets Drug Discovery Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This meeting represents a training and information exchange opportunity for current and future researchers in drug discovery and structural biology. The workshop intends to foster collaboration among the groups working in these areas in Latin America and Europe. The instructors will be from Brazil\, Latin America\, Europe and UK\, covering the different disciplines and visions of structural biology and drug discovery. \nDiscussions will cover the theoretical basis of each topic\, followed by real life examples applied to Drug Discovery projects. Each topic will be addressed in 30-minute lectures\, organised in 1.5h thematic sessions\, which will be followed by Q&A sessions. \nThe hands-on part includes instructions and Q&A followed by real life experiments in HTS\, crystallography and cryo-EM at CNPEM. \nApply from February 26th until March 20th.

SUMMARY:Ciência Aberta 2025
DESCRIPTION:As portas do Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM) serão abertas mais uma vez no Ciência Aberta 2025. A sétima edição do evento repetirá o bem-sucedido formato de 2024\, com dois dias de atividades. Em 2025\, o evento acontecerá nos dias 30 e 31 de maio. O primeiro dia\, uma sexta-feira\, será dedicado a grupos escolares e excursões. \n\nAS INSCRIÇÕES PARA GRUPOS ESCOLARES ESTÃO ENCERRADAS;\nO PÚBLICO GERAL NÃO PRECISARÁ PREENCHER QUALQUER MANIFESTAÇÃO/FORMULÁRIO\, BASTANDO COMPARECER AO CNPEM NO DIA 31 DE MAIO A PARTIR DAS 9H.\n\nNo segundo dia\, um sábado\, o público geral poderá visitar o campus. A última edição\, realizada em agosto de 2024\, contou com a presença de mais de 21 mil pessoas que puderam ver de perto o Sirius\, o acelerador de partículas brasileiro\, e aproveitaram diversas atividades realizadas ao longo do dia. Em ambos os dias o evento será realizado das 9h às 15h. \nAlém das mais de 100 atividades propostas\, o campus contará com praças de alimentação com opções diversas\, em ambos os dias. No dia 30 de maio os grupos poderão usufruir da infraestrutura (mesas e cadeiras) da praça de alimentação para consumo de alimentos trazidos pelos próprios estudantes ou adquirir alimentos nas diversas opções de food-trucks disponíveis.
