SUMMARY:Training and Capacity Building Program in BSL-3 Laboratory
DESCRIPTION:The National Research Center for Energy and Materials (CNPEM) will host the Training and Capacity Building Program in BSL-3 Laboratory from August 25 to 28\, 2025\, at the CNPEM campus in Campinas\, São Paulo. \nThe activities will take place in a training laboratory designed to simulate BSL-3 and BSL-4 (maximum biosafety) facilities. \nTargeted at researchers\, undergraduate and graduate students\, and professionals from academic and research institutions who currently work or plan to start working in BSL-3 laboratories\, the training aims to promote safe laboratory practices in these environments. It also contributes to the development of potential future users of Orion — a laboratory complex for advanced research into pathogens\, which will include the only maximum biological containment (BSL-4) facilities in Latin America and the world’s first connected to a synchrotron light source\, Sirius. \nRegistration period: July 1 to July 16\, 2025. \nFor more information\, visit the program’s website.

SUMMARY:Biorenewables Training: 1st Flow Cytometry - From theory to practice
DESCRIPTION:O curso de capacitação técnica Flow Cytometry – From theory to practice\, que integra a série Biorenewables Training\, apresenta\, através de aulas teóricas e práticas\, a técnica de Citometria de Fluxo\, os citômetros de fluxo disponíveis no Laboratório Nacional de Biorrenováveis (LNBR) e aplicações da metodologia em projetos de pesquisa que visam investigar propriedades físicas\, químicas e funcionais de células ou partículas suspensas em meio líquido. \nPor se tratar de um curso teórico-prático\, a quantidade de participantes é limitada a até 10 pessoas. Esta primeira edição do curso terá carga horária de 16 horas\, divididas em 2 dias. O curso é promovido pelo LNBR\, que integra o Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM)\, organização social qualificada pelo Ministério da Ciência\, Tecnologia e Inovação (MCTI).
