This award, which recognizes excellence and innovation in physical metallurgy and materials science, was presented during the <strong>Brazilian Congress of Materials Engineering and Science (CBCiMat 2024)<\/strong>, held from November 24 to 28 in Fortaleza, Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>The winning project, <em>Optimization of Parameters for Diffusion Bonding in Cu C110 Alloys Using the Gleeble 3800<\/em>, explores methods for manufacturing cryogenic components essential to advanced technologies operating at extremely low temperatures (&lt;123 K). The research focuses on joining copper sheets, chosen for their high thermal conductivity and flexibility, which are crucial for reducing vibrations and ensuring stability in sensitive systems.<\/p>\n<p>The study highlights the use of the Gleeble 3800 thermomechanical simulator to identify optimal diffusion bonding conditions, achieving more homogeneous and efficient joints.
