Program open to undergraduate students at universities in Latin America and the Caribbean; scholarship winners will travel to CNPEM in January 2024<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

CNPEM’s Summer Scholarship Program (Programa Bolsas de Ver\u00e3o, PBV)<\/a> has reached its 31st year; the program has been running since 1992 in order to extend the reach of science and encourage young people to follow careers in science and technological development. Candidates can apply from September 1 to 22, 2023, and the program will receive the selected students from January 5, 2024. Applications can be submitted online<\/strong><\/a> at no cost.<\/p>\n

The program serves students enrolled in undergraduate courses in the exact and earth sciences (including engineering and technology), life sciences, and health at universities in Latin American and Caribbean countries. During the previous 30 editions, CNPEM has hosted over 440 students who spent unforgettable summer vacations here<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The selected candidates will receive benefits including free round-trip travel from their place of residence to the CNPEM campus in Campinas, psychological and pedagogical assistance, travel insurance, lodging, and daily transport between their lodging and CNPEM. About CNPEM<\/h2>\n

With a sophisticated and vibrant environment for research and development that is the only one of its kind in Brazil and found in only a few scientific centers in the world, the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) is a private, non-profit organization overseen by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).
