Trabalho de pesquisadores da USP de S\u00e3o Carlos \u00e9 o primeiro publicado com dados coletados no equipamento instalado em Campinas (SP).<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"80\" data-block-id=\"2\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Cientistas descobriram, com ajuda do\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/g1.globo.com\/sp\/campinas-regiao\/noticia\/2018\/11\/14\/entenda-o-sirius-o-novo-acelerador-de-particulas-do-brasil.ghtml\">Sirius, superlaborat\u00f3rio de luz s\u00edncrotron de 4\u00aa gera\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a>,\u00a0<span class=\"highlight highlighted\">detalhes in\u00e9ditos do processo de reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o do Sars-Cov-2, v\u00edrus causador da Covid-19<\/span>. Tal entendimento abre caminho na busca por f\u00e1rmacos que possam inibir esse mecanismo de replica\u00e7\u00e3o dentro das c\u00e9lulas. O trabalho realizado por pesquisadores da USP de S\u00e3o Carlos (SP) foi publicado em edi\u00e7\u00e3o especial do Journal of Molecular Biology, e \u00e9 o primeiro artigo com dados coletados no acelerador de part\u00edculas instalado em Campinas (SP).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wall protected-content\">\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"54\" data-block-id=\"3\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Coordenador do grupo que realizou as primeiras coletas de imagem no Sirius, o professor Glaucius Oliva explica que quando o Sars-Cov-2 entra na c\u00e9lula, ele assume o controle para tentar se replicar, mas o processo depende de v\u00e1rias etapas, e \u00e9 em uma delas que os cientistas querem agir em busca de estrat\u00e9gias antivirais.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"10\" data-block-id=\"4\">\n<ul class=\"content-unordered-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/g1.globo.com\/sp\/campinas-regiao\/noticia\/2018\/11\/14\/entenda-o-sirius-o-novo-acelerador-de-particulas-do-brasil.ghtml\"><strong>Entenda o Sirius, o novo acelerador de part\u00edculas do Brasil<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;Ele (Sars-Cov-2) n\u00e3o faz um v\u00edrus pronto para infectar outras c\u00e9lulas, ele faz suas prote\u00ednas em um \u00fanico bloco, que chamamos de poliproteina. Uma parte desse bloco \u00e9 a protease, e a fun\u00e7\u00e3o dela \u00e9 transformar essa poliproteina em suas partes que, ao se juntarem, podem reproduzir muitas c\u00f3pias do genoma viral e das prote\u00ednas do envelope e assim gerar novos v\u00edrus, que s\u00e3o capazes de infectar outras c\u00e9lulas. Al\u00e9m disso, identificamos como pequenos fragmentos qu\u00edmicos se ligam em pontos espec\u00edficos de uma dessas novas formas da enzima de SARS-CoV-2, que possui menos de 1% da atividade da forma madura\u201d, explica o pesquisador Andre Godoy, da USP de S\u00e3o Carlos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles\" data-block-type=\"raw\" data-block-weight=\"3\" data-block-id=\"11\"><span style=\"font-size: 28px; font-weight: 600; letter-spacing: 0px;\">Busca por antiviral<\/span><\/p>\n<p>O trabalho do grupo da USP no Sirius teve in\u00edcio em setembro de 2020, assim que a linha Manac\u00e1, ainda em fase de comissionamento, foi aberta a pesquisadores externos para que pudesse oferecer \u00e0 comunidade cient\u00edfica recursos para estudos que pudessem contribuir no combate \u00e0 pandemia.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mc-column content-text active-extra-styles \" data-block-type=\"unstyled\" data-block-weight=\"56\" data-block-id=\"13\">\n<p class=\"content-text__container \" data-track-category=\"Link no Texto\" data-track-links=\"\">Na ocasi\u00e3o, a equipe fez\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/g1.globo.com\/sp\/campinas-regiao\/noticia\/2020\/09\/04\/com-ajuda-do-sirius-cientistas-miram-proteinas-atras-de-chave-para-desativar-novo-coronavirus.ghtml\">an\u00e1lise de 200 cristais de prote\u00ednas do v\u00edrus na busca por uma &#8220;chave&#8221; que pudesse desativar o coronav\u00edrus<\/a>. Al\u00e9m do estudo publicado, o grupo tem outros dados coletados no Sirius e trabalha na busca por mol\u00e9culas que possam atuar como inibidoras das proteases mais importantes na replica\u00e7\u00e3o do v\u00edrus da Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.235em;\">&#8220;Cada prote\u00edna dessas nos conta uma hist\u00f3ria. Cada prote\u00edna do v\u00edrus passa por uma s\u00e9rie de processos internos que tem uma certa atividade. Nem todas s\u00e3o bem descritas. Nosso esfor\u00e7o maior \u00e9 encontrar uma mol\u00e9cula que iniba as duas proteases. Tanto a PLpro quanto a Mpro.
