margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 14px; vertical-align: baseline; outline: 0px; background: 0px 0px; display: inline; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; text-indent: 0px; A platina \u00e9 um catalisador n\u00e3o-pirof\u00f3rico WGS com alta atividade, mas a estabilidade das nanopart\u00edculas de platina (NP-Pt) e sua atividade depende da natureza do suporte. Um dos suportes mais estudados \u00e9 a ceria. Trinta anos atr\u00e1s, as mudan\u00e7as no comportamento redox da ceria causadas pela intera\u00e7\u00e3o com a platina foram demonstradas. Posteriormente, v\u00e1rios estudos apontam que a platina est\u00e1 ancorada em <span id=\"MathJax-Element-6-Frame\" class=\"MathJax\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; Apesar do trabalho extensivo, algumas quest\u00f5es sobre o WGS com Pt-ceria permanecem sob intenso debate, como:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>o principal mecanismo da rea\u00e7\u00e3o;<\/li>\n<li>o passo limitante da velocidade de rea\u00e7\u00e3o;<\/li>\n<li>as esp\u00e9cies que s\u00e3o intermedi\u00e1rias reais e aquelas que s\u00e3o meros espectadores; e<\/li>\n<li>os locais de adsor\u00e7\u00e3o (por exemplo, no metal, suporte ou interface).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dois mecanismos principais t\u00eam sido discutidos: redox e associativo. Os catalisadores preparados foram caracterizados por diversas t\u00e9cnicas experimentais: Difra\u00e7\u00e3o de Raios X, Espectroscopia de Infravermelho, Fotoemiss\u00e3o de Raios X (XPS) realizada no LNLS, enquanto os experimentos de Espectroscopia de Absor\u00e7\u00e3o de Raios X in situ foram realizadas no ESRF [Borda L3 da Pt (11564 eV) e borda K do Ce (40443 eV)] e na linha de luz XAFS1 do LNLS [Borda L3 do Ce (5723 eV)]. Em seguida, as rea\u00e7\u00f5es de WGS foram realizadas num reator de quartzo de leito fixo sob press\u00e3o atmosf\u00e9rica. <strong>Os resultados mostram uma falta de depend\u00eancia direta da atividade com as propriedades estruturais m\u00e9dias da ceria, sugerindo que a cria\u00e7\u00e3o dos s\u00edtios Pt-O-Ce interfaciais \u00e9 provavelmente o fator limitante nestas amostras.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A presen\u00e7a de Ce em catalisadores de PtAl aumenta as taxas de rea\u00e7\u00e3o espec\u00edficas de WGS em at\u00e9 7 vezes. Diversos par\u00e2metros afetam a atividade, assim, o uso de Pt-NPs pr\u00e9-formadas foi a estrat\u00e9gia adotada para preparar sistemas modelo com foco nos efeitos de suporte e interface. Foi poss\u00edvel ressaltar diferen\u00e7as e semelhan\u00e7as entre as amostras referentes a diversos par\u00e2metros relacionados \u00e0 fase de \u00f3xido de c\u00e9rio, como o tamanho do dom\u00ednio cristalino de ceria e o ambiente local, o contato inicial entre o metal e o \u00f3xido, o estado de oxida\u00e7\u00e3o da ceria, entre outros. No entanto, uma clara identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de um poss\u00edvel par\u00e2metro principal da ceria que rege a rea\u00e7\u00e3o revelou-se desafiadora e uma correla\u00e7\u00e3o direta entre as propriedades que foram observadas por experi\u00eancias <em>ex situ<\/em> e <em>in situ<\/em> e a atividade do catalisador n\u00e3o p\u00f4de ser claramente feita.
