Muito mudou com os chamados organoides: mini-org\u00e3os criados <em>in vitro,<\/em> em laborat\u00f3rio, a partir de poucas c\u00e9lulas do pr\u00f3prio \u00f3rg\u00e3o, de c\u00e9lulas tronco embrion\u00e1rias ou c\u00e9lulas pluripotentes. Esses organ\u00f3ides apresentam uma micro-anatomia tridimensional simplificada, mas semelhante ao \u00f3rg\u00e3o real.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 301px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/lnls.cnpem.staging.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20170327-1-e1490612935801-291x300.png?resize=291%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"291\" height=\"300\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Figura 1: Mini-c\u00e9rebro com 45 dias. A linha branca define uma escala de 1 mm.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>A compreens\u00e3o da distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de elementos qu\u00edmicos que s\u00e3o essenciais para o c\u00e9rebro embrion\u00e1rio pode elucidar, por exemplo, os mecanismos por traz de diversas doen\u00e7as relacionadas ao desenvolvimento neuronal, inclusive os manifestados na fase adulta.<\/p>\n<p>Recentemente, um grupo de pesquisadores do Instituto D\u2019Or de Pesquisa e Ensino, da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, do Instituto Federal de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o, Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia do Rio de Janeiro, e do Laborat\u00f3rio Nacional de Luz S\u00edncrotron, utilizou as instala\u00e7\u00f5es do LNLS para estudar a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de elementos qu\u00edmicos em organ\u00f3ides cerebrais humanos, tamb\u00e9m chamados de mini-c\u00e9rebros.<\/p>\n<p>Os pesquisadores utilizaram a linha de luz XRF, de Fluoresc\u00eancia de Raios X, para produzir um mapa dos elementos qu\u00edmicos presentes nos mini-c\u00e9rebros, como F\u00f3sforo, Enxofre, Pot\u00e1ssio, C\u00e1lcio, Ferro, Zinco e outros. Isso \u00e9 poss\u00edvel porque, quando \u00e1tomos numa amostra s\u00e3o excitados com Raios X, cada elemento qu\u00edmico reemite radia\u00e7\u00e3o de forma espec\u00edfica, produzindo uma assinatura \u00fanica que permite sua identifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Os organ\u00f3ides foram estudados em duas fases, equivalentes a diferentes momentos do desenvolvimento embrion\u00e1rio: uma em que h\u00e1 intensa multiplica\u00e7\u00e3o celular e outra em que h\u00e1 a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de estruturas entre neur\u00f4nios.
