The objectives of the CNPEM’s Visit Program<\/strong> are to inspire young people to pursue careers in science and technology, perform institutional outreach for the CNPEM as a reference institution for the practice of science, create closer ties between the Center and potential users of its scientific facilities (from research and teaching institutions as well as the corporate world), and stir feelings of belonging, pride, and recognition for Brazilian science.<\/p>\n

This page contains the form to schedule visits for groups of students from high schools, technical schools, and universities. These visits take place weekly on Wednesdays, with two time slots available. Consult the dates and times available in the scheduling form below.<\/p>\n

Visits currently take place in Sirius, Latin America’s only particle accelerator, which was planned and developed by Brazilians. Throughout the tour visitors not only learn more about Sirius, which was the most complex project in Brazilian science, but also come into contact with the various research fronts that are addressed here at the CNPEM in the National Laboratories and the Ilum School of Science.<\/p>\n
