In December 2020, the CNPEM and CERN signed an agreement to cooperate on accelerator physics. Our objective is to develop expertise in superconductor magnet technology at the CNPEM. With Brazil about to enter CERN as an Associate Member State, this is a natural partnership that expands member facilities. During 2021 we studied high-field magnets to refine Sirius&#8217;s capacities for more light lines. I was impressed with the energy and competence of the CNPEM team composed of junior engineers and physicists. In less than a year they mastered all aspects of this challenge, delivering a consistent design. Brazil&#8217;s association with CERN will create opportunities for Brazilians in our laboratory and will make it possible for Brazilian companies to become our suppliers. The talent of the CNPEM community that I have seen first-hand is an extremely good sign for this exciting
